The REAL Reason Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton’s Wedding Is Put On Hold

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been in wedding planning for some time after getting engaged back in October of 2020. However, Stefani has now explained why the special event is being put on hold.

Gwen Stefani Admits Wedding Has Been ‘Hard To Plan’

Adding to the couples’ frustration in wedding planning, are the homeschooling duties they’ve been assigned ever since schools went online: “We have three kids in school and at home on Zoom, so hopefully that will end for them.” The two are currently tucked away at their Oklahoma farm with their three kids, whilst Stefani is also hoping to put her new ska-influenced album out in the near future.

With a variety of COVID-19 restrictions across the United States and spikes in cases and deaths, large gatherings are becoming increasingly difficult to plan and hold for all.

Shelton continued: “I’m not going to waste my time losing weight for no good reason”.

Also in the interview, Blake spoke on being a stepfather to Gwen Stefani’s kids and the challenges that come with it. “There’s definitely nothing easy about it. I don’t know if it’s as hard or harder or not as hard as being an actual, biological parent, you know? I have a stepfather in my life who’s one of my heroes,” he said.

Blake continued, touching on how his stepfather led a way of inspiration when he took on a parental role: “And I take it very serious. But I also have a blast with it, I’m not gonna lie. I don’t take it so serious that I’m not enjoying this time because I really am, especially now that we’re five years into this thing. I can’t imagine my life without these kids now.”

We can’t wait to see the two of them happily married when the time is right!
