The Best of 2022’s Celebrity Skin-Care Secrets
“Hi Vogue!” exclaims each star in their Beauty Secrets video, ready to pull back the curtain
“Hi Vogue!” exclaims each star in their Beauty Secrets video, ready to pull back the curtain on the beauty and wellness rituals that help them look and feel their best. While these stars may have fame and notoriety in common, their regimens are incredibly distinct—serving as a reminder that skin care is inherently personal.
With their whirlwind schedules, including press appearances and long days on set, celebrities consider their at-home regimens an act of self-care. So finding ways to decompress is vital—from lighting a candle to stating positive affirmations aloud (two of Jennifer Lopez’s go-tos)—and often the first step. Then comes skin rejuvenation by way of cleansing and perhaps a clarifying mask or a glow-boosting sheet mask laced with hydrating ingredients. Once removed, stars gravitate toward an array of customized treatments. Some are DIY, like Padma Lakshmi’s honey mask and Gracie Abram’s skin-icing technique, while others are a little more high-tech. Think gua sha tools and microcurrent devices, known to sculpt and tone, alongside face rollers to massage away tension and LED light therapy tools to keep acne at bay. And, of course, moisturizing is a must, especially in tandem with SPF to combat harmful UV rays. Finally, a layer of lip balm, a spritz of perfume, and a zhuzh of the hair provide the ultimate finishing touches.
From de-puffing strategies to long-lasting perfume tricks, there was no shortage of intel to draw from Vogue’s Beauty Secrets this year. We can only imagine what 2023 has in store! In the meantime, shop celeb-approved skin-care products, below.
