FREMONT, CA — Fremont Police are investigating home burglaries and an unusual street robbery that happened over the course of a week.
Last Friday, an elderly woman was walking when a woman approached her, grabbed her arms, and forcibly removed her jewelry while replacing it with fake jewelry. The suspect got away in a dark colored vehicle. The crime happened at 10:30 a.m. in the area of Kansas Way and Ursa Drive.
The police department is also investigating two residential burglaries and an attempted burglary. Here are the reports:
- On 5/19 between 8:44 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. a residential burglary occurred in the area of Orca Terrace. Suspect(s) pried open a window to gain access to the residence.
- On 5/21 at approximately 3:45 p.m. a residential burglary occurred in the area of Adobe Drive. Suspect(s) entered the victim’s backyard by hopping a rear fence and broke several windows using river rocks to gain access to the residence.
- On 5/23 at approximately 1:31 a.m. a residential burglary attempt occurred in the area of Applegate Terrace. The victim noticed via video surveillance that two suspects were in his backyard and called police. Officers arrived on scene and discovered damage to the window screens. The suspects were not located.
