Paulina Porizkova is celebrating her age and natural beauty in Camilla and Marc’s new fashion campaign, admitting she never thought she would be modeling in her fifties.
The 56-year-old, who hasn’t had any Botox, fillers, or cosmetic procedures, is the star of the Australian womenswear label’s Resort 2022 ads, which show her makeup-free and completely unretouched while modeling the new ‘Play’ collection.
‘Do you know how rare it is to be hired for a campaign that celebrates my age, instead of one in which I’m the token “old” lady?’ Porizkova asked when she posted the campaign video on Instagram on Tuesday.

Strike a pose: The supermodel, who has never had any Botox, fillers, or cosmetic procedures, poses in minimalist suits and separates in the Australian label’s stunning new ads
‘So rare it only happens once or twice a year. Not only do I adore their clothing; stylish, chic, simple, but also their embrace of a seasoned woman.’
The supermodel encouraged her fans to support the brand for promoting realistic depictions of beauty and aging.
‘All you ladies out there, this is how we can change a tiny bit of social conventions at the time, by putting our money where we want it to go. Supporting businesses that acknowledge us, women, not just girls,’ she wrote.
‘There is clearly no makeup and hair or retouching here. This is what I really look like. And I like it. There is a sort of maturity to me now that commands respect.’
The one-minute campaign video begins with close-ups of Porizkova modeling a chic white suit with her blonde hair pulled back in a messy bun, accentuating her makeup-free face.

Her outfits change throughout the clip, and in one scene, she is seen wearing black wireframe sunglasses and a white tunic as she stares off into the distance. Another shows her modeling a structured tan suit and chunky sandals.
The footage ends with her posing in a long black vest worn over a black bandeau top and paired with a long, pale yellow skirt.
Camilla and Marc explained on Instagram that the Resort 2022 collection was ‘inspired by the contemporary dance performance “Play” by Alexander Ekman, a piece that contemplates the place and meaning of play on our lives.’
Porizkova, who is a fierce proponent for self-acceptance and sharing your truth, was a natural choice of muse for the brand.
The label also released campaign shots of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum in the new collection, starting with a photo of her sitting in a chair in a black dress with side cutouts.
Inspiring: Porizkova opened up to Camilla and Marc about her modeling career, admitting she never thought she would still be working as a model in her fifties
Candid: The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum added that modeling ‘with an unaltered face and body’ at age 56 ‘suddenly seems significant’
She has black leather flats that wrap around her ankles on her feet, and her blonde hair is down and combed off of her face as she locks eyes with the camera.
In another image, she has on a cozy yellow sweater and is holding a pile of folded clothes across her chest.
Porizkova opened up to Camilla and Marc about her modeling career, which has spanned four decades. The brand used one of her quotes to caption an image of her modeling a cozy yellow knit sweater.
‘I never imagined I’d be modeling in my fifties. Partly because it’s always been an age limiting career, like athletics or dance, but mostly because I sincerely hoped I would have no desire or need to do so,’ she explained. But what I have learned in the forty years since I started modeling is to never say never.
‘Modeling now, at the age of 56, with an unaltered face and body, suddenly seems significant,’ she continued. ‘I see the distinct lack of visibility of women my age looking their age, proudly and beautifully.
Back home! Porizkova’s latest campaign dropped one day after she celebrated her return to Instagram Monday with a cheeky photo of herself lying naked in bed after her ‘top secret’ trip
Critic: Within an hour of her sharing the post, a so-called fan commented that she was ‘starving for attention’ and didn’t need to share nude photos of herself to get it
‘And this is the gap I’m stepping into: not to shame women who refuse to age, but to offer an alternative. Self-acceptance is, after all, the one thing age has over youth.’
Porizkova’s latest campaign dropped just one day after she celebrated her return to Instagram on Monday with a cheeky photo of herself lying naked in bed at her country home in New York.
‘Mankind’s greatest invention. It’s not fire, it’s not the wheel, it’s not pre-sliced bread… It’s incontestably, incontrovertibly, irrefutably — A MATTRESS,’ she captioned the image, which shows her wrapped in a strategically placed comforter.
‘I’m now convinced this is the real reason humans live longer these days,’ she continued. The beauty and wit of middle age is quickly lost if deprived of a comfortable spot to rest one’s bones.
‘Here’s to the padding which supports us while we slumber — hay or straw, down or feathers, coils or foam — whatever it is — as long as it is there!’
Porizkova, who spent nearly three weeks off the grid while on a ‘top secret’ trip, ended her post with a reminder that she wouldn’t be sharing any information about her mysterious getaway, writing: ‘YES, I’m back and NO, I cannot even whisper of my travails. All shall be revealed next spring.’
Hitting back: ‘I do post for attention, sure, but I what I post is ME,’ Porizkova responded, adding: ‘Us middle-aged women need to announce ourselves’
Secret project: Porizkova had been off Instagram since late September, when she posted a playful photo of herself posing on a Vespa to announce her mystery trip
The snapshot earned more than 38,000 likes in just one day, and commenters praised everything from Porizkova’s beauty to her floral wallpaper.
However, another so-called fan felt compelled to question Porizkova’s motivations for sharing nude photos of herself, suggesting it was somehow shameful and insisting she didn’t need to do it.
‘I think you are absolutely gorgeous! However, I’m absolutely convinced that you are starving for attention and you only get the attention you deserve when your clothes are off,’ the person wrote. ‘You are amazing in every way, shape, and form! People who love you…know you are as beautiful clothed.’
Porizkova, who has gotten flack for baring both her body and her emotions on social media, swiftly responded to the comment, which appears to have been deleted, and defended her photo.
‘Hm, this seems to be a thread amongst you guys now, that you love me so I should leave my clothes on,’ the cover star replied. ‘I suppose you assume I post to get love.
‘I do post for attention, sure, but I what I post is ME, fully me emotionally and sometimes physically naked,’ she added. ‘Us middle-aged women need to announce ourselves. Bang our fists on the table and show I’m here.’
