Martha Stewart CBD Wellness Topicals Body-Care Line Review

  • Martha Stewart has released a beauty line called Martha Stewart CBD Wellness Topicals.
  • The line features three CBD-infused body creams that are said to help with muscle discomfort, sleep, and stress management.
  • One editor tried the line and was impressed with the results.

When I think of Martha Stewart, I think baked goods, immaculate homemaking skills, and all-around superhuman being. However, what I do not think of is her being a CBD connoisseur. So imagine my shock when I saw that Stewart was releasing a wellness line that features three topical CBD-infused body-care products. I’d never dabbled in CBD body care, but with Stewart’s expertise behind the brand, I knew I had to try it.

The line features three body creams: one to help with sleep, one for stress, and one for muscle discomfort. The packaging is a sleek white tube that details the amount of CBD that each bottle contains, as well as what the cream is intended to help with. The Super Strength cream has the highest amount of CBD at 1,000 milligrams, and the Sleep Science and Daily De-Stress creams have 600 and 400 milligrams, respectively. Every cream has the same light consistency and was readily absorbed into the skin without too much effort once applied.

Martha Stewart Super Strength CBD Cream

I first tried the Super Strength CBD Cream ($25) as I had recently spent just a bit too long in a hot bath (zero regrets). My shoulders were extremely tight, and it claimed to be fast acting. The cream has a slightly menthol-like scent to it thanks to the additions of magnesium and ginger, but otherwise it’s pretty unassuming. I applied the cream to my shoulders and up to the sides of my neck. To my disbelief, my shoulders immediately started to feel less tense. The tightness in my shoulders by no means disappeared immediately, but I had a larger and more comfortable range of motion when I went to do the rest of my postshower nighttime routine. When I woke up the following morning, my muscles were still a bit tight but noticeably less sore than the day before. I applied the cream again and got the exact same results: immediate tension relief. I’ve been using this cream since, and while it is not an immediate cure, it has been helping me manage my sore shoulders impeccably well.

Martha Stewart Sleep Science CBD Cream

I then tried the Sleep Science CBD Cream ($19) to see if it would help me fall asleep and have a more restful sleep, as the brand claims. I applied the cream on my neck, behind my ears, and on my hands — anywhere it would be easy for me to actually smell the lavender and vetiver essential oils used in the cream, as they are known to invoke a sense of relaxation and calm. While I did fall asleep much quicker than I usually do (which was pretty easy to note, because it typically takes me an hour or more to fall asleep), I did still end up waking up a few times throughout the night, so it wasn’t a particularly restful night of sleep. As I continue to work on fine-tuning my most optimal sleep routine, I would definitely try this product again, but I would not say that it is an essential.

Rating:

Martha Stewart Daily De-Stress CBD Cream

The last product, the Daily De-Stress CBD Cream ($20), is touted to help manage stress and maintain a sense of calm. This cream features neroli and ho-wood essential oils, and the brand claims that 72 percent of users felt more relaxed after using this product. I used the cream in place of my normal body moisturizer as the directions said to do, and the product absorbed wonderfully into the skin. However, this product did not help me feel any less stressed than usual. I also wasn’t a big fan of the scent, so this cream was an all-around miss for me. Other than for its moisturizing properties, I would not incorporate it into my daily routine.

Rating:

In all, the Martha Stewart CBD Wellness Topicals line was a fantastic introduction to the world of CBD body care for me. I will definitely be repurchasing the Super Strength cream, as the results truly blew me away. As for CBD itself, I will be researching other CBD body-care lines to add to my new collection.
