When Kim Kardashian took a bow at the end of Dolce & Gabbana’s spring 2023 fashion show in Milan, it wasn’t just her beaded gown that glittered. Her black-and-white diamond cross and earrings from the designers’ fine jewelry collection also sparkled under the spotlights.

The media personality and entrepreneur collaborated on the “Ciao, Kim” fashion line, choosing her favorite Dolce looks from 1987 to 2007, which the designers then reimagined for today. Her icy parure was just as iconic as the satin corsetry, stretchy lace dresses, black bras, sharp tailoring and leopard-print regalia that she selected from their archives.

“I always loved the beautiful, quintessential 90s & 2000’s looks,” a grateful Kardashian wrote on Instagram, below a video of the runway presentation. “Feminine, bold, they always made me feel so confident & glamorous.”

The same could be said of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s fine jewelry collection, launched in 2011.

The line reflects many of their sartorial signatures throughout the decades: exuberant florals, religious iconography from the Catholic church, historical references, ornamental gold designs and an alluring Italian sensibility. The themes are all there, sometimes combined into one exquisite 18-karat treasure.

The Easy Rainbow Collection, introduced this summer, is as gloriously hued and playful as it sounds. Each piece features natural stones such as topaz, rhodolite, amethyst, tourmaline, citrine, peridot, tanzanite, aquamarine and kunzite in various cuts, set in bezels of different shapes and sizes for visual interest. At once modern andbaroque, the jewelry is instantly recognizable as D&G.

Take the jeweled pendant cross, similar to the one worn by Kardashian on the runway. Made of hand-twisted, thin gold threads — a technique popular in Italy during the Renaissance — the 18-karat filigree design is studded with eight differently colored gems and finished with a single freshwater pearl and a small DG logo. With two rings in the chain, it can be clasped at choker or princess length. The matching earrings, meanwhile, are equally opulent and unusual.

For those who want to rock them like a reality-show star, an updo and shimmering dress are recommended.
